A source revealed on Tuesday that flight 6E 1803, heading from Delhi to Baku, Azerbaijan, took off without obtaining required approval from the ATC. Currently, the airline IndiGo is investigating the matter.
The pilot's service has been suspended until a thorough investigation is completed, according to a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) had advised the pilot to wait, stating that the aircraft should stand in the runway line for takeoff, but the flight took off without waiting for clearance.
